ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
These Songs for My Family were written between 2007 and 2012, each conveying a mood about a real child in my life. Most are published here for the first time. They were recorded in Nashvile with The Fewer Sorrows Band in 2011 and 2012. The songs are fresh, some deeply personal and all universal in their appeal.

Some are written just for children, designed to be heard by little ears and/or sung by little voices, often with a sense of humor. A couple -- Good Night, Moon and Thursday Afternoon Arrival -- are poignant lullabies. One of my grandchildren went to sleep to Good Night, Moon for months. Once, in her family's living room, I played the tune on my phone. She stopped what she was doing, toddled over to my chair, put her head down, and closed her eyes.

Songs for My Family Album
Bill Reid is an American Music icon. He is a song writer who writes from his heart and sings from his soul. He has done just that in this new album, Songs for My Family. I love to hear the richness in Bill Reid's voice when I listen to his sound. Nashville knew what they were doing when he recorded this new album. I bought this CD for my granddaughter and she loves it. She has her dad turn it on as soon as she gets in the car. Good job Bill Reid. Another great album. Keep them coming.
