A limited release cassette was published in the 1980's, but for all practical purposes no one has heard this music in over 20 years.
Jaffor Ullah was a graduate student at U of I, and had just built a small synthesizer and audio mixer. He wanted a musician to play it and I needed a keyboard.
It sounded like fun and we agreed to work on Sunday afternoons. Jaffor was the audio engineer and I was the composer. Using my Casio MT-30 and Boss DM-100 to complete the studio, we worked for several months. A sound or a patch would prompt an idea and we would record the song right then.
Since that time, we have lost touch, but the tapes were stored safely. The restoration work done at Real Time Copies in Culver City, CA is amazing. I hope you enjoy the music.
The cover photo is a Hubble telescope photo of Dark Matter. Image credits: NASA, ESA, M.J. Jee and H. Ford (John Hopkins University). Each bright spot is actually an entire galaxy, making this photograph an extremely dense collection of stars. It is difficult to believe that there is not intelligent life somewhere "out there" in space.
See http://hubblesite.org/ for more Hubble Telescope photos.
However, it seems that the real question is not, "Is Anybody Out There?" but rather, "What kind of music do they listen to?"
