Billy Egr (Egger) was born in Oklahoma but raised in Omaha Nebraska, where he worked for many years as a local entertainer and disc jockey. During that time he performed on stage with such stars as Hank Williams Jr., Faron Young, Buck Owens and Barbara Mandrell. Billy moved to Nashville where he was offered a recording contract, but instead followed his calling into the ministry. Now, after many years in the pulpit, Billy has released his first country CD. The classic country sound of "Living a Country Song" takes us back to a time when country music was more story oriented and more poetic than today's "hot new country." The song, "My Big Brother Wayne" was written in honor of Billy's older brother Wayne, who was tragically killed in a fire.

I'm so glad to hear Billy singing again!! He's always been great! "My Big Brother Wayne" is about my brother-in-law and Billy's brother. It's a tough song to listen to but Billy has done an excellent job.
