Nick Bischoff's debut CD 'six feet under the radar' is a timeless and addictive experience, organically fusing elements of pop, rock, country, and folk into a unique brand of what one fan dubbed 'millenium folk.'. 'Drop Of Rain,' the opening track on the CD was nominated for Best Modern Rock Song by Just Plain Folks, the largest online music organization.
He recently completed a solo tour across the country with stops at cafes and bars in towns like Hannibal, MO, Algona, IL and Mammoth, CA. Highlights include being adopted by the townsfolk of hannibal when stranded after his ATM card expired and making a fan out of a Wyoming state trooper who'd stopped him for speeding. Nick drove off with a warning after the cop heard him play a couple of songs on the side of the highway.
Nick is active in the LA music scene, having hosted such popular shows as 'Eclectomania,' featuring songwriters, comedians, poets, and storytellers at Toni Childs' Dolphin House and 'The Circle,' a gathering of the area's finest songwriters.
His backing group, The Limited Funds Orchestra, is a loose knit cast of local musicians, and his shows can range from freewheeling explorations of his large repertoire to intmate solo engagements.

'Millenium folk' is a good description. A bit of Bob Dylan. There's a rich groove to each tune. My favorites? Peace of Mind, Dog in the Backyard, Birdsong, Sitting Alone in My Room... Expressive lyrics with a good sound. It ranks right up there with other CD's where I like almost every song on it.

(rock: modern) doesn't begin to describe this ride through a man's dreams and demons. Six Feet Under the Radar takes folk outside and beats it over the head with an electric guitar. Clever lyrics and excellent vocals round out the sound, making this a great album to have handy whether you're riding high, feeling low, or drinking hard. And after listening to Sitting Alone . . . Well, you'll see.

Each time I put this CD on I find myself dreaming of a time and place in Santa Monica, California that doesn't exist any more. Sitting in my room with a view of the beach indeed! Like the dinosaurs, these songs won't go away for a long long time. Thanks to Nick Bischoff for an album that is full of ass pleasin' fun.
