Album Notes

Robert Bitte's new release on Blue Shade Music, "Second Wind", includes six songs from his past three recording projects and six previously unreleased tracks. It's a look back and a look forward and a new direction in Robert's music that leans more to a darker mood than in previous releases. Blending synthesizers and accoustic instruments in a contemporary smooth jazz setting, Robert has composed music that is soothing to the soul, professional in it's execution and hypnotizing in creating an atmospheric mood which is the cornerstone of ambient music. In this, Robert has exceled!
"Safe House" returns with Steve Bitte on drums this time out. "Day After Yesterday" has a muted trumpet melody with a distorted 12 string guitar sound that sets off the upbeat percussion line. "No World Order" features Bill Skar on sax with the Windancer Horns and synth organ solo by Robert. Steve Bitte created the drum part for "Jungle Man" and the song is the first collaboration between father and son. Robert's authentic lead violin samples power "Sun Spin" with the half time, in-your-face drum beat fueling the synths. The futility of war is the subject of "The Missing Peace". "Autumn Moon" has a laid back feeling like you are witnessing a Harvest moon on a late night in October. Robert's first foray into dance music resulted in "Dancing Bubbles". Man emerges "Out of the Cave" complete with caveman grunts that were the begining of language. Robert's love of Christmas drew an honorable mention at the I.C.S.C. or International Christmas Song Contest with music that reflects thoughts of "Christmas Past". The title track "Second Wind" shows off the guitar chops of Robert's lifelong friend, Jim Mescal, whose solo here is second to none." Lastly, Robert's tribute to his father's passing honors his heroism in WWII and his two time POW (Prisoner Of War) status.
Robert is also the current drummer for The C.J. Stanley Band in St Charles. Go to www.cjstanleyband.com for more info......................Blue Shade Music

Robert Bitte's CD is a relaxing escape. The smooth jazz sound would be a wonderful backdrop to a dinner party. The sounds are so soothing it could also be used in a yoga or meditation session. The CD would make a great gift for someone who wants to relax and unwind.

Robert Bitte's latest cd release is superb from its opening cut thru track #12. This is a cd that flows seemlessly. Audio dynamics are top notch as well. And in "keeping it in the family" the drums of Steve Bitte add "bite"to the tracks he guested on. This an outstanding release and an artist on the rise. BUY IT!
