Album Notes

The Bitter Roots are Jeff Stetson and Ben Koostra. Jeff and Ben both live and create music in Seattle.

The Bitter Roots' music can best be described as soulful rock, guitar oriented and diverse, with vocal harmony and tight rhythms. All the music you hear is recorded to analog tape without aid of digital editing or auto tuning. If it took 54 takes, it took 54 takes, this is real music.

Jeff is the former leader of manSaveman a Seattle rock outfit that put out 4 full length LPs between 2001 and 2006. Jeff also played for the bands Chiseler and Into the March in his home town of Missoula Montana in the early and mid '90s.

Ben the enigma, recently relocated to Seattle from abroad, having played and recorded with several bands during that time. Ben is rumored to also be from Missoula and to have once played drums for Ein Heit and Silkworm.
