Annapolis, Maryland quartet “Bittersweet” brings new school funk, soul, and pop together in an exciting way. Their sound falls somewhere between Joss Stone, Supreme Beings of Leisure, and Edie Brickell but always stays true to themselves.

Often compared to a female-fronted Maroon 5, Bittersweet’s soulful, driving rhythms combine styles that appeal to many different listeners. Lead singer Julie Cymek effortlessly displays a wide vocal range, easily standing out as one of the most impressive singers to emerge from the Annapolis scene in a long time. For nearly three years she has been the creative force behind the band as the principal songwriter combining her knowledge and experience to create personal and meaningful songs. The band has enjoyed having their music featured in television programs on A&E and in independent films.

Currently, the band is writing music for their second CD. Their first Cd titled "This Is Bittersweet" is available for purchase on-line right here at CD Baby.com and will soon be on iTunes as well. Of course you can always pick one up at a show!
