Album Notes

Representing her home state of California, Barbara took top honors as the
CALIFORNIA COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION'S FEMALE VOCALIST OF THE YEAR and her
song "Hold Me Tight" was awarded SONG OF THE YEAR. Embraced by European
radio (being named CD of the Month in 5 countries), Barbara's first single
"You Can't Take It With You" is being enthusiastically received by U.S. DJ's
as well. The song is being added to new playlists every week resulting in
quick movement up the independent charts.

Nominated by the Academy of Country Music for Non-Touring Band of the Year,
Barbara has opened concerts for Brooks & Dunn, John Anderson, Michele
Wright, Asleep At The Wheel, The Bellamy Brothers, the legendary Hank
Thompson and many others. With her band of road heroes she says "We really
love playing fairs and festivals too.you can always find out who the true
country music fans are!" Barbara has also been a favorite at theme parks
like Disneyland in Anaheim and Knotts Berry Farm in Buena Park.

Now a resident of Tennessee, Barbara is an active participant in the local
songwriting community performing her own songs "in-the-round" with other
writers at venues in Nashville. From the hottest clubs on Broadway to the
world famous Bluebird Café and the legendary Nashville Palace she is no
stranger to the live scene now that she calls Music City her home. She was
recently showcased as the featured writer at the Hall of Fame on Music Row
as well as showcasing at the Midwest Music Conference in Lexington KY, and
the 2NMC Nashville New Music Conference.

Wanting to be involved in all facets of her career, Barbara became a member
of the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI). Working as a
volunteer at the NSAI office for 2 years gained her "hands on" experience
and valuable knowledge of the music business, as well as providing
networking opportunities. Believing there is "strength in numbers" she is
also an associate member of the accredited Americana Music Association and
BMI.

"I would rather be on stage performing than be anywhere else on earth, and I
am very passionate about the songs that I write and sing. If it's not
country, it's not me".

I bought this album just on a chance. It turned out to be some of the best money I ever spent on music!! No matter how many times I listen to this cd, I can't find anything I don't like about it, except it has an end. Ms. Morrison's voice is a supreme delight and she has put down some great sounds on this album!! My favorite tracks are "You can't take it with you", "Walking away from it blues", and "Better off lonely". Barbara wrote or co-wrote 4 of the 8 tracks, thereby earning an even greater degree of respect as a proven singer/songwriter!!! Whether you prefer traditional or modern country music, here's an album you'll love.
