MSG is a remarkable gospel-singing ministry that is definitely setting trends and making a mark in the city of Philadelphia. MSG is one of the most radical ministries that actually ministers. The ministry has grown by leaps and bounds, not just in numbers but also in spirituality. The ministry will not and cannot function without weekly bible studies, which seems to be the highlight of our rehearsals. Thus far through the ministry, peoples lives have changed, broken hearts have been mended, and souls have been saved. This ministry is definitely on the move for God and the best part about it is that we are all excited about it.
MSG is compiled up of 20 singers and 5 band members. The ladies of MSG hold a special place in all of our hearts because the kind of took on the sister role in all our lives. They are referred to as MSG roses. The brothers of MSG are referred to as the Sons of ASAP. Last but not least, the band. They as referred to as Soul Food. These titles are all spoken of in the Bible and the ministry truly lives up to there names. We have truly developed into a family that develops families.
The actual style of MSG is hard to really explain. It has a twist of Hip-Hop, R&B, eclectic sound, and anointing all rolled up into one. The energy that comes from this ministry is simply mesmerizing. It captures people right where they are. The songs are very eccentric and original. It almost sounds impossible that all these different styles could even mix but with God ALL things are possible.
The leader of MSG name is BJ Shores. He is definitely a man of God that enjoys to praise God then worship God. His motto is dont just say praise the Lord, do it, for it is a command. He writes and arranges all of the music and has plans to produce the MSG album in the future.
As MSG we believe that we are the salt of the earth. For MSG is a form of salt, its a preservative. Weve become the preservatives for this world and when we are all caught up to meet our Lord and savior Jesus who is the Christ in the air, there will be no hope for the world. So in a sense we are like spirit filled superheroes.
