BJ Speer, is a 27 year old Contemporary and Traditional Christian Artist from the San Francisco Bay area. Growing up in Orlando, Florida, BJ has been traveling in Gospel music all his life, being a part of the Speer Family, a name that has been in Gospel music for several years. His parents, Billy and Paula Speer are marking their 35th year in Southern Gospel Ministry this year. BJ grew up on the road and was born into the music business. At the age of 19 he attented the Word of Life Bible Institute in Schroon Lake, NY and then continued on to Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA to pursue a Communications degree. After several years of traveling with his own family, he was offered a position to travel with The Dartts, a California based group who is known for their variety music and also the writers of the hit song, "God on the Mountain", as recorded on Gaither Homecoming Videos by numerous artist. BJ continues to minister around the world as soloist and as part of the Dartts. His schedule can be found on the Dartts website at DarttMusic.com.
