ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This album is a collaboration between a seasoned big band singer based in Napa and a trumpeter/bassist/arranger from the east coast (and Berklee) transplanted to San Francisco
in the 80's. The arrangements were slowly and carefully crafted, and the project covers nearly a year's time. It has been played on KCSM (the Bay Area's JAZZ STATION) and has already garnered much acclaim in the first week. It was recorded at Bay Records and Bellboy Studios in three sessions. Four tunes feature big band, four octet/nonet, two septet, four sextet, and three trio. Marti's musical past includes Walt Oster, Stubby Gordon,Velden Reyes, and Weaver Copeland. Graham's includes Don Doane, Billy Pierce, Teddy Charles, Herb Gibson, Jules Broussard, Joe Henderson, Mark Levine, Duck Bailey, Kitty Margolis, Laurie Antonioli and Noel Jewkes and a few more you MIGHT have once dug.
