We all know the music industry is long overdue for a face-lift and the BLACK CROOKS are just what the doctor ordered! I know what you're thinking "The Black Crooks" here is another negative Black Rap group. Wrong, The Hip-Hop act, consisting of Darrell "Big "E" " Elix, Kenny "KB" Bush, and Johnny "The Penetrater" Bishop, offers a prescription strength remedy to the chronic "hop on the bandwagon" music trend disease. In a time when everybody sounds like everybody, it's comforting to know there are still real artist with ingenuity and true originality.

After three years of being a team, they are finally stepping on to the major playing field. I must say, not only are they ready, but, they have a flawless play-book entitled Illegal Activities. From the intro to the Outro, I'm sure you'll agree this album is overflowing with priceless gems that are destined to be crowd favorites and musical classics.

But hey, don't take my word for it; listen for yourself. Check out Big"E"'s delivery on tracks like "Pimp Shit" and "Holla". It's evident his style is truly as he describes it a good "gumbo like" mixture. Then let us not overlook the fury and determination that is expressed in every word uttered by KB on tracks like "Way I Live" and "Smoke Wit Me". Finally, I would be remised if I failed to mention the counter-balance of the two, Johnny Bishop. His rough, rugged, and unadulterated southern player style commands our attention on tracks like "Blazin" and "Momma".

Overall, this group hits the scene with a hypnotic sound that makes their beats irresistible and lyrics unforgettable. For those of you who have experienced their music you can attest to this and for those who haven't I suggest you take notice. Simply put, the BLACK CROOKS are a versatile, ambitious, and unstoppable force that will steal the industry from the fakers and hearts of their partakers.
