Album Notes

It's safe to say that Black Days Down, a quickly up and coming hard-rock band from Minneapolis, Minnesota, is becoming a force to reckon with throughout the Mid West.

Black Days Down is a four piece combining the talents of Brad Whelan, with his grungy vocals and dark, visceral lyrics, Andy Reyerson rocking a vast array of hard-hitting guitar lines, Kyle Glidden holding down the low-end on bass, and Matt Burke slamming the sh*t out of the drums. All of them came together from different locations throughout the U.S. (New Jersey, Iowa, Minnesota and Michigan, respectively) while attending a Minnesota recording school, and haven’t looked back since stepping onto the rock scene.

Each of the members brings a variety of musical influences and talents that have quickly evolved into one vision, and Black Days Down is starting to turn a lot of heads with their music, capturing the attention of many influential industry people based off of their live show, reputation, and their new, first full-lenght album titled “Beyond the Threshold”.

In less than two years, BDD has completed a number of tours around the Midwest onward to the East coast; a full-length album "Beyond the Threshold" attracting over 350+ people at their CD release show; a Professional music video; performances with national recording acts including Red, Spoken and Black Light Burns (former Limp Bizkit guitar player, Wes Borland's new project); a spot on the cover of Nite-Times magazine; And recently, became the week-long victors of the 93.7 FM 93X Weekly Cagematch. With everything the band has accomplished in the last year as an independent artist, the horizon looks to hold a very in-demand Black Days Down.

So now the only lingering question is: Have You Heard?

Definitely the best new band of the year. Have a sound similar to Seether, Staind, etc. I would highly recommend checking these guys out. I can't wait for these guys to hit it big, they have earned it.

GOING PLACES

This band is def going places. The sound is heavy yet melodic at the same time which very few artists can pull off nowadays. If you like Seether, Three Days Grace and other artists of this genre, Black Days Down \"Beyond The Threshold\" is a must have. Buy now or punch yourself in the face when they do make it big.
