Sometimes Janet sounds like one of those cool, no-wave, underground- but-slick rock bands, sometimes they sound like old-school guitar rockers, other times they sound like something else altogether. Greg Baker, Miami New Times

Album Notes

This is a very ambitious-and very successful-album of dreamy well-written and well-produced alternative pop. There’s plenty of energy too. Driving and dangerous sounds, guitar skittering, and banshee wailing temper the ethereal songs with the right amount of verve and energy. Production is tasteful, the sound is generally subdued and smooth and performances are laid back and relaxed. For comparison, think Roxy Music or Chris Isaak. JAM MAGAZINE
