"David Thrussell first came to the eyes and ears of the electronic music scene in 1992 as a member of Australia's Snog, whose dance hit, "Corporate Slave", was the first of a still-on going string of club classics. His early years in the scene were strictly with Snog, working to build up their sound and audience base with a number of successful singles and two highly regarded full length CDs: Lies, Inc. and Dear Valued Customer.
In 1994, Snog released an Australian extended single, Hey Christian God, which included a large amount of material that was not intended for international release under the Snog umbrella. Instead, this material became the nucleus of the first release of Thrussell's solo project, Black Lung. Black Lung combines many aspects great work such as of cabaret voltaire, aphex twin, gyorgy ligeti, in a recording that could just as easily find a home with fans of electronica, techno, ambient, industrial, and 21st century avant-garde compositions."
Crunch Pod is excited to bring the first domestic Black Lung release since 1997's 'The Disinformation Plague' on Metropolis Records. 'The Coming Dark Age' marks another important milestone in Black Lung's career and the version Crunch Pod releases in September 2006 will feature 2 exclusive tracks to this edition.
