This is one of the best CDs I've listened to in a lonnnng time! I tried to think of which song I'd highlight in this review as my favorite one but just about all the songs are my "favorite"! :-)  I especially like Afro Blue, Strange Fruit, What's Going On, Not Gonna Give It Up and Lift Every Voice and Sing. The Legacy CD is a definite must have!

I have been anticipating the release of a new collection of music by Blacknotes ever since
I heard that the group was working on a new cd. Fortunately, I purchased  "Insights" when it came out
and I get to witness a live performance by them now & then. I heard "Afro Blue" on the radio this
morning so I knew I had to have The Blacknotes "Legacy" cd release. Since i'm a mobile
DJ I always keep music by the Blacknotes to play at various events and now I have some
