notes
This project is the result of many years of playing/performing at Renaissance festivals and Irish pubs across the country. I set out to create a CD that would be enjoyable outside of a Renaissance festival setting and I'm told I've succeeded. My infulences on this project are varied, but I think you can detect a strong Bluegrass / Appalachian undercurrent. I have a strong love for the blues, as can be heard on my version of 'Wild Rover'. All these tracks are of my own arrangement and/or composition (to be exact, 6 are original). Some are traditional Irish tunes, some are original, not-so-Irish songs. It's me on all the vocals and instruments (bouzouki, guitar, percussion). I sincerely hope you enjoy!

Absolutely great!
author: Sara GiomettiDiscovered Bret at NYRF in 2007 and had to buy this CD - I only wish his second one was available on here as well! This one is really well done. I particularly like Maid of Comber and his version of Rosen de Beau. Excellent! I can't wait for his next one to be available online!
Awesome!
author: Joan AbbottWe love it! Heard Bret at the GA RenFaire and had to buy the CD. Can't wait for the next one!
Great music for the highway and family sing-alongs!
author: Artie NuvoRosen de Beau, Health to the Company and Flowers of Edinburgh are simply fabulous. I heard Bret playing these songs at the NY Rennaisance fair on September 10th, 2005, and I just had to have this CD. I look forward to hearing more Bouzouki on his next CD - (& it would be nice to also have the lyrics).
We love it! The whole CD is super!
