Album Notes

The inception of Black Star Morning can be traced back to 2002 when vocalist/guitarist Ethan Kennett and lead guitarist Josh Riggs consolidated their songwriting talents and began to explore Orlando's open mic circuit. With the addition of bassist Brent Mills and drummer Jeremy Olson, the songwriting core of Ethan and Josh expanded and solidified as Black Star Morning. By the winter of 2002, Black Star Morning was playing to large audiences at exclusive regional venues such as Hard Rock Live, House of Blues, and The Social.

In the past two years, Black Star Morning has enjoyed exponential growth of its fan base throughout the Southeast and beyond. In February 2003 Black Star Morning entered Gridlock Studios with producers Brett Hestla (Creed/ Dark new Day/ Virgos/ Faktion) and Justin Thomas (Course of Nature/ Faktion/ Dark new Day). With the project guided by executive producer Thomas Player, the band diligently recorded throughout the year, yielding a powerful set of ten songs, released April 2, 2005, as their debut album "All Rise."

Black Star Morning was founded on the principle that there is no substitute for hard work. Their dedication and professional work ethic is evident from the studio to the stage, and has earned them the respect of fans and industry professionals alike. With the release of "All Rise", Black Star Morning" will continue to expand its fan base by taking its music to new audiences across the country. The future for Black Star Morning is indeed bright.
