Album Notes

Blake was born in Dallas Texas on Valentines Day 1986. Two years later he moved with his family to Denver, CO., where he grew up and developed a passion for singing at an early age. It was in the third grade that Blake sang his first solo.

Most recently, Blake’s new career has leaped into gear as he was the opening act for the Country Music Group “Lonestar” at the 2007 Chase County Fair in Nebraska. He was also a featured performer at the Nebraska State Fair.

Last year, he won the “Galaxy Of Stars Talent Search” held at the Nebraska State Fair. Over 500 acts competed in this statewide competition. He was the 2006 overall winner and received the “Mega Star” award, cash prizes, and studio recording time.

Blake recently recorded his first professionally produced album. He wanted it to be a top notch product, so he went to Nashville, where he used many well known “A-Rated” studio musicians that have played on numerous number one hit maker’s albums such as Garth Brooks. Mike Chapman, the bass player on nearly every Garth Brooks album produced was the producer of Blake’s album, and he played bass on it. The music is a combination of progressive country and rock, with a positive theme. It’s titled “Keep Movin’ On” after one of the songs. His album is already showing tremendous success with several radio stations already playing it only 2 months after the initial release.

Blake’s singing experience started young, and so have his successes In 2003, Blake was one of four finalists in the GMA National Vocal Competition in Estes Park, Colorado, and the top male in the Nation for his age division.

During his high school years, he played the lead part in every school musical.

Many of Blake’s solo opportunities have been through the large community church he attends, Cherry Hills Community Church. He enjoys singing contemporary Christian music and has been featured in many of the church’s special programs with audiences ranging from 14,000 to 17,000 people.

Blake receives numerous requests to sing each year, for community events, weddings, and church programs. He has sung everything from Elvis Presley to Josh Groban, from country to rock. Currently, Blake is rehearsing for a large scale Christmas production at his church. Blake is grateful to God for his talent and to many key people in his life that have supported his musical endeavors.
