In a year of great Northwest rock albums, the latest release from this Seattle trio might be the best of all. Their sound is more versatile than most, ranging from raw, noisy garage-punk and propulsive, Strokesish jangle to New Wave-influenced dance-rock

Album Notes

2008
This is the original album self-releasd before (LITA) records became involved!! we always liked this one the best!! different artwork done by Garnet and different mixes on most of the record.

2006
The Blakes are Garnet and Snow and Bob , a Seattle based band that has been playing all over the North West from Chinese resturants to theatres they are still independent, have seen their record go #1 in Seattle and are mailing out more copies a day than the Post Office can handle ... they will rock the crap out of you!!! Just back from the SXSW music festival in Austin where IGGY POP was stopped dead by their song Two Times blasting at austin city limits sound stage " Who the fuck is this?" "this shit sounds good!!" (thanks, Iggy) look for them at the Sasquatch music festival.Capitol Hill Block Party and Bumpershoot this summer.

REVIEWS

The Blakes rule!

This CD is amazing! Every track is great and they all sound different. Two Times is a fun screaming rocker. Don\'t Bother Me is more calm, but has a great vibe. Modern Man lives up to the Kinks comparisons. etc... I wish their earlier albums/eps were available!!
