Inspiring, healing, soulful and sexy are just a few adjectives that describe Blake Whyte's real and heartfelt sound. Earth, Soul, Pop music with a mix of Marvin Gaye, Jason Mraz, Jethro Tull, Otis Redding and Jim Croce. Currently making his living on Broadway, Blake has been a successful actor on the Broadway stage in the hit shows "Wicked' and "Mamma Mia!". Because of Blake's varied performance background, his onstage presence and music make a concert experience that cannot be missed.
"I want to be known as a live act, first and foremost, At my shows you will have that special connection between audience and performer. It's who I am and my music is made for that. You will see yourself and the humanity around you. I will leave an audience packing to go follow there dreams and do what they love"
"Music has always had a way of being there for me. Music heals me, it inspires me, and I believe my music can do that for the world. My music can help people look at their lives and say to themselves, you know what, I'm gonna take that leap, I'm gonna really invest in what I love, what makes me tick. I believe when you are doing what you love, everything else falls into place. Creation leads to freedom! I want everyone in this world to find that glove that fits, you know what I'm sayin....that thing you know is deep down inside of you that fills your soul with truth, love, and light. That is music for me. It's my glove and it fits. My favorite way to communicate." -
Blake has performed his original music in NYC at Lincoln Center's Rose Studio, Rockwood Music Hall, Sullivan Hall, Highline Ballroom and The Living Room.
Common Ground is truly a "It Takes A Village" song. Collaboration came from Ten different people that all played there part and made this song what it is. Everyone who played on this, wrote there own part to add there own love and spice into the mix. That's what i love, true collaboration, resulting in love and beauty.
