BLAQUE PUR'L -
The first thing you need to know about Blaque Purl is her talent is addictive and exciting. This teenage singer/songwriter from the Chicago area is impossible to ignore with a unique combination of vocal and writing skills that are often showcased with her high energy dancing talents.

The second thing you need to know is that these incredible talents started at the tender age of 8. Blaque Purl aka Ebony Yarbrough turned heads by joining her mother on the gospel single "The Message". She then grabbed immediate attention at her church by singing "Heavenly Father". This performing talent was inevitable as Ebony grew up watching a large portion of her family perform, sing, and become accomplished musicians. These gospel music talents were born inside of her mother Camille, father Darrick, uncle, grandmother missionary Annie Louis Howard and her aunts The great Thurmond Sisters.

Ebony showed she was a perceptive learner as she started writing songs at 11 to accompany her beautiful voice. It was then only a matter of time before this young rising star would be pleasuring musical appetites across america.

The 18 year-old singer/somgwriter has showcased her talents across the country in talent shows and performances that have electrified her viewers while creating a buzz among record labels and music industry executives. Her first place talent show finished at a New Orleans talent convention was followed by a second place finish at the well known Big Break Talent Show. At the Big Break, Ebony opened for the group "Do or Die". She was also called to audition for the world famous, "ShowTime At the Apollo" and impressed the judges with her vocal maturity. The Baltimore Music Conference will be the next group of industry ears and eyes to experience her tremendous artistic appeal.


Ebony's incredible talents also created a buzz that reached well- respected producer Corey Midgett in Atlanta, GA. Corey has written and produced songs for Grammy award winning artist Destiny's Child, Mary J Blige, Toni Braxton, and Missy Elliot and has worked side by side with Superproducer/artist Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds. The collaboration produced the hot single "Waiting On You" pinned and produced by Corey and the song will appear on Ebony's first album release. Corey was very impressed with Ebony's talents and there are plans for a second song to be finished by the two that will also appear on the debut release. Ebony is also soon to spread her music talents through cyberspace as she will debut her exciting new web site that will feature her music, photo's etc. and all the latest 411 on the teenage wonder.
