Album Notes

The Bottom Line is about the courage and integrity you are supose to develop after surviving crisis and tragedy. This CD takes us on high places, points of laughter and a few moments of reflection. It's about separation and that can be an intersting subject. It can be painful and some good growth might happen too.
This CD is a compilation of songs that also serves as one piece. The concept and realization of The Bottom Line were experimental for us. We started the tracks at home and then took them on the road. We stretched as artists and learned from it.
My old friend Mark T. Williams is the producer. He makes the whole thing sizzle. Mark is a great facilitator as well as one of the best musicians that I have ever known. Everyone knows him as a great drummer but he writes and sings and plays a mean bass. He plays on some of these tracks too. Mark is musically literate; he can analyze whole scores. He has a good perspective and can show me a lot of avenues I have never tried before.
Mark and I agreed on the overall concept and spent the time trying new things and keeping less than half and that is a good process.
The Bottom Line is about loving people as they are with all of the imperfctions. But there is never any guaruntee about your safety.
