Album Notes

BLAYZE is said to be one of the most talented females to come out of the bay area in a long time. Her style consists of a variety of tastes and flavors that she can't be cast into a category of rap. She creates her own category that needs no title.

She has appeared as a feature on numerous local projects as well as her own solo project. Blayze has featured on projects such as "Hoodlum" by the artist "FAM" on One Way Out records, and also on the album "GHETTO SCRIPTURES" by the group "REALIZM".

This Bay Area artist comes from the areas of Oakland, Berkeley, but most prominently Richmond, Ca. The artist "BLAYZE" is one of the most riveting presences in the Bay Area rap world. Not only is she creating herself as a dominant presence in Hip-Hop, she is a confident songwriter of neo-soul/R&B and gospel songs. She has spread her wings and chosen to develop her vocal skills as well and is also the lead vocalist in her independent labels live band.

When asked to compare this artist to others well known in the industry, Blayze has been ranked with the talents of Queen Latifah, MC Lyte and other female trailblazers in Hip Hop. Blayze brings a taste of new school with an old soul that will absorb the appreciation of music from your average old school soul lover to the true heads that still submerge themselves in the nostalgic of classic hip-hop.

In all honesty, Blayze does not want to fit in any box, so that she has the freedom to bless the mic through a variety of genres whether it is Rap/Hip-Hop, Neo-Soul, Gospel, or rock for that matter. You will truly be delighted with the product from this artist who is steadily making new waves to become a force to be reckoned with in the music industry.
