The Frontline: The Bleachers CD EP

This very un-Vegas-like EP from local duo Joe Maloney and Marco Brizuela is a throwback to such ’60s folk-rock luminaries as Bob Dylan, Simon & Garfunkel and Peter, Paul & Mary. (Jaime Beurger, Las Vegas Weekly)

The Bleachers are the next big thing for music.

The Bleachers have this flokish way with music. My favorite song of the album is still "Quiet" which crests nicely before what seems like an abrupt halt. The guitar technique is delicious, and I enjoy the raw feel and sound of it. It's one of those tunes that, regardless of who you are, you'll find yourself humming to. Can't wait for this album to go global, and the next album to come out.

This is the first and so far only album by the Bleachers, but if they made 50 more, I would buy 12 copies each of all 50 more. I give copies away to anyone I know who might appreciate this music. The very original lyrics, the singing style, the guitar; every song comes together to hit you with such powerful emotion. It leaves you wishing that the girl he was singing for would just wake up already, but then we wouldn't have these wonderful songs. I've listened to this album more often than some of my commercially-bought albums, and I'd say the talent here far surpasses most of them.
