Album Notes

About the Bleucatz:

Bleucatz Kelly Bryarly and Jack Holm grew up together in the 60's and early 70's in Colorado Springs. They attended grade school, middle school, high school, and college together, playing rock-'n'-roll music from the time they were young teenagers until they were in their late 20's. As two of the founding members of Clement Adder's Aviation Band (CAAB), they toured and played in most of the popular venues and watering holes in a four-state area.

In the early 1980's Kelly moved to San Francisco, where he immersed himself in the music community in various roles, primarily as a freelance composer/producer, writing and producing music for film, television, and radio. He received numerous accolades and awards in recognition of his noteworthy contributions to the industry.

Jack's life took an entrepreneurial turn in Colorado Springs as he worked in the homebuilding industry for many years. Following a two-year sabbatical in the mid-90's performing volunteer work in New York City (in Brooklyn Heights) he returned home - only to find that his lifelong friend Kelly had coincidentally packed up his family and his recording studio and returned to Colorado Springs.

Soon, they found themselves yielding to old compulsions, with Jack frequenting Kelly's music studio, collaborating in composing and producing film and video soundtracks, notably wildlife features, including a documentary supporting preservation of the South American rain forest and its multifarious denizens.

Bleucatz materialized out of Jack and Kelly's roots, and no matter how hard they labored on other musical pursuits, Bleucatz music continued to emerge. The Blue Report is the first recorded expression of their collaboration, with more in the works.
