band name: blindside seven
song title: “staring at the walls”
cd title: shoot to the moon
overall comments: from the very first few seconds i can tell this is an extremely professional sounding recording, and that the quality of the song writing is very high. the song has a nice contemporary sounding edginess, the performance is energetic, and the whole thing sounds like it would fit nicely alongside anything currently playing on modern rock radio. this stuff is really high quality, and i hope you are feeling really proud of what you have accomplished as writeres and performers. let me also mention that the graphics/artwork on the cd cover are really cool looking and help provide a very nice visual aesthetic for the music contained within.
stlye: sounds to me like it would fit perfectly on modern rock radio. has a poppy melody and crunchy sounding guitars. power pop.
melody: the chorus melody is so contagious it will probably be stuck in my head for the rest of the afternoon. it’s especially affective about midway through when the harmony vocal and ascending melody enter. they provide an additional emotional element that serves the song beautifully.

SHOOT TO THE MOON CD REVIEW: BY "MELTDOWN" @REALROCKRADIO.NET
Blindside Seven-Shoot to the moon If you don't like good music, don't buy this.If you do this is a must have.I first saw BS7 at the Mics and Bikes, and have been a big supporter ever since. From the opening moments of "Now" the first song on the C.D. to the closing coda on The acoustic version of "Late December",this album cooks.Putting BS7 in a genre catagory isn't easilly done.It isn't punk,it isn't mainstream,it isn't metal,it's just good infectous rock-n-roll.The second song on the C.D. "Stranger to Myself" opens with a catchy bass line and then goes into a Riff that stay's in your head the rest of the day.Song three "Staring at the walls" has top 10 written all over it.This will probably the next song we break on http://www.realrockradio.net from this C.D.the forth song "Free" ,has already been consistently in the top ten. The sixth song on the disc begins out with a nice acoustical piece, but don't sit back and relax, because this one will rip you a new ass."Next Train Out" is probably my personal favorite on this disc. This is a very well written song, and performed meticulously. As is the entire disc as far as that goes.Usually when you buy a Un-Signed Band C.D. you get two or three good songs and a lot of filler there is no filler on this album. This is twelve brilliantly devised gems."Don't let Go",and "Late December",are another two songs that you wouldn't expect to see on a self produced effort,as these two songs shine. The production on this disc is flawless, and allows you to hear it in it's pureist form,un-like some disc's I have heard."Shoot To The Moon", the title track off this disc,is an absolute rocker.Well suited for Radio A.O.R. formats,or Active Rock stations.(Like 93.3 the Planet or http://www.realrockradio.net )Then comes "Who she was",and an old Cars Classic brought up to date,"Just What I Needed",which they actually bought the rights to the song to re-do.This one is an absolute must hear for all you who have been around awhile (like me) "Oblivious" is the eleventh song on the C.D.,and just like the rest it is solid. There is a bonus track on the disc, and it is a re-do (Acoustic) of "Late December".This song is a hauntingly good song. With an effort like this being offered soon Blindside Seven will be on the big stage, headlining big halls, which I will miss them in the small venues, and on my show "Un-Signed".This is a solid effort, one the likes I haven't heard in a long while. There is feeling, heart, soul, and a load of blood, sweat, and tears put into it.Brad,Chris, and David have out done thereselves on this one.See these guy's while you can in the club's because the day is coming when your going to have to pay $20.00 and over to get in the door.Headliners get it good you know.
