'Coming together as a duo after decades of playing in bands, Bliss 'N' Blue's CD "Keep on Walking" preserves a band's instinct to drive a room and rock the house. Using traditional instruments, (resonators, acoustic guitars, ukulele, mandolin, and harp), provides a texture that supports profound lyrics. It took me a few listens to sink into the lyrics because the catchy hooks and their musical skills are strong enough on their own . Reading along with the lyrics provided with the CD reveals another reason to dig this CD. Their lyrics are original and emotionally dead on. The songs tell of the complex feelings that come up in relationships, the crosscut saw that makes life and love such an enjoyable pain in the ass! Check out all the layers of feeling in "Good bye Anna". The powerful rhythm and bouncy hook plays against the word's sober meanings. What I love about traditional music, that often gets lost in the stripped down lyrics of electric bands, are expressions of complex, mature emotions. The phrase "Bliss 'N' Blue" says it all. These guys have been around the block musically and emotionally. It is doubly amazing that they are delivering this material outside their native language. To often the wrong statement is made that there are no unique music bands any more. A duo, Ralph Skuban ( vocals, guitar, ukulele, stomp) & Walter Zaeh (vocals, bass, harmonica, stomp), named Bliss'n'Blue align completely to my expectations, a unique mix of above mentioned music styles, this with their own touch added to it. The songs are not offered in the common traditional blues manner although their instruments would be ideal for this. This album 'Keep On Walking' is not for those wild moments but a beautiful 'Let'sDwell In The Past', 'Blue Woman'‚ and 'Goodbye Anna'‚ are more an enjoyment for the ear. Ralph Skuban and Walter Zaeh demonstrated to be very skilled in their tasks, no pointless beating but more well coordinated as it should be. For those who enjoy a quiet, serene music atmosphere in a sublime mix of blues, country and singer/songwriter are with this Duo at the right address.'

‚Keep on walking’ is BLISS'N'BLUE's debut CD, released in the fall of 2006. All material was recorded in a live situation within two days in August 2006. 'We sang, played, and stomped all at one time like we do it on stage to keep the atmosphere as lively as possible. Four songs were recorded during a live concert in December 2005 in a live club near Munich / Germany. We used different guitars and basses, a ukulele and a mandolin, we played the harp and stomped our self made so-called 'shaker-stomp'. Everything is handmade, everything is pure, and, of course, everything is human. Enjoy!'
