Album Notes

Blisterstring is the joining of forces of two veteran West Coast blues musicians: drummer-producer/promoter and Fedora Records founder Chris Millar, and Parisian-born singer-guitarist-songwriter Frank Goldwasser, sometimes known as Paris Slim. Between the two of them, Millar and Goldwasser have recorded and performed with an impressive cast of some of the most illustrious blues artists of the contemporary era, including Percy Mayfield, Lowell Fulson, Big Mama Thornton, Jimmy McCracklin and many, many more. Recorded in seven hours on a ridiculously small budget, "The Highway Is A Woman" was originally intended as a demo for the trio. It has received rave reviews from the specialized press in the U.S. and abroad. It features Goldwasser on guitar, harmonica and vocals, Millar on drums and Kevin Hill on electric bass and tuba.
