Blizz Rhythmia, consisting of four musicians, is a Swiss Fusion band that has developed its own instrumental Jazz Rock, which is based on lots of groove and improvisation, for the last seven years.
With Claude Diallo (keyboards), Nicolas Zellweger (guitar), Urs Streckeisen (bass) and Massimo Buonanno (drums, cajon) the band has given many concerts throughout Switzerland. Their first CD «Shy Appearance» was released in Fall 2001. It was recorded in Romanshorn, Switzerland at the Sonic LAB with the help of Andy Jud: www.soniclab.ch
In this CD you can hear the joyfulness of these young musicians with a band average age of only 18 years. Most of the compositions were composed by Claude Diallo a young uprising Swiss Jazz pianist that graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston in December 2006 and who lives in New York today.
The only 16 years old drummer Massimo Buonanno impresses with a mature sound and lots of groove. He lives in Boston today and studies at Berklee College of Music.
Urs Streckeisen is a renowned studio bass player for all styles in the east of Switzerland and makes his living as a doctor. On this CD you can hear the long year friendship between him and Massimo, that dates back to their early childhood.
Athough Nicolas Zellweger learned to play the guitar almost entirely by himself you can hear his potential and musicality on this first CD. His composition Niko's Funk was always a hit on every concert of Blizz Rhythmia.
