The Learning Days

by Blue Blue Satellite

Melancholy folk-pop at its best. Sweet melodies, pensive lyrics, and simple yet lush arrangements contribute to this Canadian's debut album in the tradition of contemporary singer songwriters like Damien Rice, Glen Hansard and Neil Halstead(Mojave 3).

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
First and foremost is the song. I try to make every song I write be timeless. It's relatively straightforward to write a song, but a good song requires effort, concentration and creativity. And that's what I put in to every song I write. My debut CD The Learning Days is what I feel are my strongest songs. The ones that strike the tightrope balance between simplicity and complexity, uniqueness and familiarity. The songs are contemplative, melancholy, reflective, but never depressing. I hope they resonate with my listening audience as much as they did with me after I first wrote them.
