First and foremost is the song. I try to make every song I write be timeless. It's relatively straightforward to write a song, but a good song requires effort, concentration and creativity. And that's what I put in to every song I write. My debut CD The Learning Days is what I feel are my strongest songs. The ones that strike the tightrope balance between simplicity and complexity, uniqueness and familiarity. The songs are contemplative, melancholy, reflective, but never depressing. I hope they resonate with my listening audience as much as they did with me after I first wrote them.
