What a great party CD! Incredible sounds from such a small band. The guitar player is outstanding!

Hey, these people are my friends……I’ve got nothing but good things to say about their new CD. The recording quality of this CD is top notch…..plus the musicianship is solid by all. Rick Maddelein is an exceptional guitar player…….it’s a fact…..he plays with his heart, soul, mind, fingers…..all jelling together to create the guitar sounds I long for. Drummer Jim VanAcker is the kind of drummer that musicians appreciate working with…..he’s solid….he’s going to be there…..and his style works to complete the band. Bass player Bob Maddelein……amazes me. He’s relatively new to the band……even so Bob bass playing is the bottom end that delivers that thump and bump we all long for when we want to hear live music. Singer Carol Ann Chouteau completes the bands sound by delivering vocal tracks any group would be envious of. CA has a great voice and wonderful tonal quality. I strongly suggest you add this CD to your must listen to recordings….I want to hear more of their original songs.

The Blue Collar Band demonstrates again and again their range and versatility on this well-produced CD. If you like classic rock, this is the album for you! The musicianship is superb and Carol Anne Chouteau's vocals are nothing short of amazing. The original songs are strong as well. Their version of Stairway to Heaven breathed new life into the song for me. That is what is so unique about this band. They put their own stamp on the covers they do and, in my opinion, end up creating something which is as good, if not better, than the originals. The Blue Collar Band's "Let's Get This Party Started" is a great addition to any classic rock afficionado's collection.

I got a chance to listen to this whole CD without interruption and it really KICKS ASS!!! I really like the selection of songs and the mix is amazing on both live and studio cuts. This is definitely a party record and will be in my rotation for a long time. If I wasn't familiar with the original songs you could tell me they were from any top artists repertoire and I wouldn't doubt it at all...and maybe even a couple could be potential hits if they were produced by one of the biggies. I'm partial to Today and Fallin' Apart at the Seams but the other two are great as well. My wife loves the CD too and plays Stairway to Heaven over and over saying it is inspiring her to paint a picture that comes into her head when she hears it. The first time she heard Stairway she showed me her arm and it had goosebumps on it. She was totally blown away. I give the Blue Collar Band all equal kudos on this one. They are one of the tightest bands to come around for a long time and pulled the live stuff off amazingly well. Carol Ann's vocals are in top form. Rick's tone is unbelievable as well as his playing. I can't say enough about his amazing talent. Bob sounds like he's been playing bass for 50 years and Jim is (((THE))) time machine . That kick drum hits you like a brick. The harmonies are right on and I love Carol Anne's flute playing on Color my world and Stairway to Heaven. You have the whole package. Nothing needs to be changed or added. This CD is a must have for any music lover of the Classics from the 60's on up. Dennis H.
