This is Blue Haven’s 3rd CD release to date, following their critically acclaimed 2001’ release, Keepin’ the blues “LIVE” and their 2004’ studio effort ‘HIGH ROAD’. This is the bands strongest recording to date and is certainly not for the faint of heart.
This CD was recorded ‘LIVE’ in July of 2005 on two separate nights at the historic Old Washoe Club, (circa 1862) in beautiful Virginia City, Nevada. Blue Haven pays homage to some of their personal hero’s and adds a handful of original tunes that are sure to satisfy even the most discriminating blues aficionado. Their live show is one of passion, raw energy and intensity with a hint of sweet subtleties found in post world war II old-school blues.
Their style ranges from raucous roadhouse shuffles and slow melodic grooves to swinging up tempo boogie and white hot churnin', burnin' funk. The band gives it's all on this CD leaving nothing behind but a trail of ashes and spent beer bottles. Blue Haven has the ability to take the listener on a roller coaster ride of emotions, bringing their music to a furious fever pitch only to drop it down to a whisper, leaving the crowd totally exhausted, completely satisfied and always wanting more.
Buy this CD and you will hear and feel why Blue Haven is one of the best kept secrets on the west coast blues scene today.

THIS BAND IS DA BOMB!!!
author: Jimmy Blue
I first saw this band a few years back, they impressed me then, but now they have a renewed energy supplied Mike Komadina on bass and new drummer Pat’ The Right Reverend' Dodson who has propelled this band to new heights. Rich ‘Full Moon’ Maloon is an exceptional slide guitar player and Machine Gun aptly plays left handed guitar and harmonica. I am totally pleased with this live CD and recommend it to all blues lovers.
