I was waiting for the Blue Onion live @ the garden to be released and was pleased when it came. The only thing is that my kids think so too, so I'm going to have to get another one for them in order to have the one I purchased for myself back! These guys are Wonderful!

I was awaiting this release for a while, and I was not disappointed. This is one of the most spot-on live CDs you could find anywhere ... each song is played to perfection, and it's almost like listening to a studio recording, but with a nicer atmosphere. In particular, the bass-work is impressive, and really makes the CD for me. The guitar work is also quite nice to listen to, and these two areas in particular stand out tall. Vocally, it's everything you'd come to expect from a live blues band, and more. The drumming keeps the band together and provides a nice beat and tempo for the whole CD. In short, this CD is one of the best Blues albums you could possibly pick up from one of the best live blues bands around. To all Blues hopefuls out there, this is how blues is supposed to be played. This band certainly deserves more recognition than they get.

As far as blues type music goes Blue Onion is awesome! There music is very well written and performed. This is one CD I will be adding to my collection!
