After years of playing shows in the Northwest and Canada, and receiving airplay on Seattle radio stations, Blue Ringer is back with a rich, powerful sound.
With driving guitars and strong melodies, Blue Ringer's music is sincere and impressively honest. Fusing elements of Neil Young, Eagles and Steve Earle, the music is bold, energetic and filled with purpose. Rooted in the band’s original brand of alternative country, the music has added the extra voltage of rock and a Western element.
Blue Ringer was honored to be placed on the 2010 Grammy ballot in four categories: Song of the Year (How Can I); Best Performance by Duo or Group with Vocals (Waiting); Record of the Year (Angels); and Best Country Song (Angels).

Formed in Port Townsend, Washington, Blue Ringer produced the recording “So Many Roads." Billed as Alternative Country, they played clubs and festival circuits of western Washington. Club venues included Parker’s, the Riverside, Rock City with Commander Cody, and the famous Evergreen Ballroom. Festival concerts included main stage at Folk Life, Bite of Seattle and many others. The group toured western Canada, playing fourteen cities. Blue Ringer received radio play from Seattle to Alaska including a featured artist interview on KEZX, and played live as a guest on the Crow and West show on KXRX.
After a ten year hiatus, Craig Brown reformed Blue Ringer with Deb Brown on bass and original member Mike Mallon on harmonica. After writing the material for “West Texas Sky” they teamed up with producer and drummer Stevie Adamek (Allies, Big Horn, Believers) to create a sophisticated sound with gritty texture and emotional edge.

Incredible stuff----emotional, driving guitar work and soul searching lyrics---this album is a journey! I agree with the notes above, if you like Neil Young and Steve Earle you will love this album. Each song has an important story to tell---no fluffy crap here! Can't wait for more of these guys----this band is tight!
