Album Notes

"One of the BEST BLUES CDs of 2005!"
Michel Dubois
CVRL-FM Quebec

"The bLUESdUSTERS serve up their songs in a way that's both familiar and fresh... like a new twist on an old family recipe"
-Solomon Burke 2005

"...the opening track had me immediately smiling ...the lead vocals ...are outstanding. This is one hell of a blues band.
Peter "Blewzzman" Lauro*

"The only words that apply here are 'a MASTER DEBUT'. Buy this album of course!"
Rootstime (Belgium)
July 2005

"All the material falls into the bags of original, classy, modern blues, tasteful (i.e. fairly restrained) blues-rock, or some fine sixties r&b inflected material... It is easy to see why the Bluesdusters have a growing reputation out on the West Coast and this release deserves to spread their fame further afield.."
Norman Darwen
Blues & Rhythm Magazine, UK

"As soon as I got it, I played it on my show and, considering the many radio-friendly cuts, this cd will be on my playlists for weeks, even months."
Michel Dubois,
Blues Host, CKRL-fm 89.1 Quebec City, Canada

"Listen and you can hear echoes of B.B., Albert and Freddie King or Chicago stalwarts such as Otis Rush, Buddy Guy and Muddy Waters. The Bluesdusters' music has been informed by those masters, but the band takes that information and creates a new beginning. Every song shimmies with energy as the CD builds momentum like a well-planned set."
Dan Dillon,
Grants Pass Daily Courier, Oregon

"Hock everything to get to Oregon to experience a Bluesdusters gig... alternatively, hock everything & have them play for you in your local... either way, The Bluesdusters are guaranteed to rock the joint."
Judge Jones,
Blues Freepress, UK,

"We especially liked the great homogeneity of the group's play. The various trends of the Chicago style have been assimilated to perfection."
Serge Warin
Radio Canal Bleu, France

"You really know how to play the blues in the third millennium. Your songs sound fresh but at the same time they are strongly rooted in the blues. Together with a tight band it makes an enjoyable CD. It will be my pleasure to play your music in my shows. I'm sure that my listeners will enjoy it as much as I do."
Przemek Draheim,
Radio Sfera, Poland

"Passion, strong mood, genuine rhythms and clear-timbered voices that colour a new canvas of blues."
Simone Bargelli

Songs full of passion by these "young" Bluesmen. I love this record, especially tracks like "Pack it up" and "Soft Spot". I'd love to hear more of the Bluesdusters 'cause they make me laugh and swing, even sing. Great Blues to hear all around the day.
