Album Notes

The album "Playin with Flee" contains aggressive rerecordings of Blue Steel 44 classics, alternative versions of standby numbers, as well as previously unreleased material. Bringing the blues back with a neo-psychic twist. Blue Steel is Matt Luther Wells (Lead Singer, Keyboards, Drum Programs); Phil "PJ" Wells (Lead Guitar, Rhythm, Bass, Drum Programs);Phil Valochik (Bass, Rhythm Guitar) and Jeff Grau (Lead Guitar).

The album includes rerecordings and previously unreleased versions of Super Jealous Woman, Headin on Downtown, and Memphis Train, as well as new releases like Playin with Flee, Down and Out (Red Dress), Abode Blues, Do Me Right, Old Jurassic Rocker, and 200 Off.

Historical Note: Back in the 1990s when every band on earth was trying to get signed to major label, Blue Steel 44 embarked on an ambitious plan to make their own master recordings and release them themselves, or thru the internet. The plan worked and 12 albums later Blue Steel 44 surged on to the indie scene. Since this time there has been an explosion in indie rock rivaling the old days of AM radio. So get out your guitar, keyboards and drums and get ready to jam.
