Album Notes

5 years. 5 members. Different styles, yet somehow it all makes sense. Blues Train Band began in 2001 as a very different band than the one you're hearing on this CD. You don't need no baggage: just get on board. Blues Train Band proves it's possible for blues to have intelligence, elegance, AND raw passion. Their astonishing skill set includes literally every style of blues there is, and together they produce original works that seem like classics--and will be, one day. Their debut album has sound as clear as glass and crisp as breadsticks, yet it does such an excellent job of evoking a typical BTB club gig, every time I play it I get a distant whiff of beer, happy sweat, and the wharves of New Bedford (and I live on the far side of the continent). Jump on board--you do need a ticket, but you'll thank the Lord!
