Album Notes

The Blue Suede Crew is far from an everyday tribute act. These boys, steeped in the history of Rock n' Roll, Gospel, Country and the Memphis Blues, don't just play the songs of their heroes - Elvis Presley & Johnny Cash - they embody their very spirit.

Recorded at the very same Memphis studio that saw both Elvis & Cash make some of their finest work, the album "Sun Sessions" is a testament to The Blue Suede Crew's love and mastery of honest American music. Produced by legendary Sun Studio engineer James Lott who oversaw U2's 1988 "Rattle & Hum" record, "Sun Sessions" is a perfect combination of the old and new.

From the stand-up bass playing of George Miller, the tight rhythms of Dave Stephens, through Rock n' Roll survivor Bobby Reynolds on guitar and on to charismatic Scott Wattles on vocals that make you believe The King of Rock n' Roll is reborn, this record packs one heck of a punch! Add in Keith Furry as Johnny Cash, Jan Daily as June Carter Cash, an incendiary horn section led by Glenn "Lip" Lewis, the soulful backing vocals of DaJaVu' and you have a band ready to take on the world.
