Everwhere we have been performing people kept asking when they could buy a CD of our Michigan songs. Coming Home has arrived!

Coming Home tells of the lakes, love, life, lumberjacks, and the land. We do some political lampooning, pick blue grass, sing shanties, boogy-woogy down the highway, play authentic Michigan calypso and even rock a polka for the shanty boys. We include the uplifting admonition from Philip Bliss to keep the Lower Lights burning across the waves, amen.

Banjo-Jim presents a wry view of recombinant genetics, job hemorrhage and our recycling laws. Bear Berends sings of old love gone awry and warns you to beware of family vacations to the U.P. Tom DeVries plays inventive mandolin, adds his pure tenor harmony and instructs the meteorologically inclined about the five kinds of snow we enjoy each winter. Dan Lynn ties the sound together with his bass, harmonizes songs and tells of his pursuit of the girl of his dreams, Michigan Cindy, all the way from Constantine to Saugatuck.
