From Albuquerque, NM USA
What is the future of rock? It's the same as it ever was.
Rock was built on the blending of America's diverse musical heritage.
It was a music that grew from the mixing of bluegrass, blues, swing and Tex-Mex to form raw honest music with a energy driven beat that appealed to youth of all backgrounds.
Blunt Society for the last 3 years has continued to expand on this great rock tradition by incorporating musical elements from punk, hip-hop, hardcore, funk, jazz and Chicano music.
Their infectious mix of seemingly incompatible styles is always fresh and leaves the listener never knowing what to expect next.
But while some groups get caught up into style imitation, Blunt Society uses the raw essence of the music to create new musical hybrids.
Their straightforward lyrics and unreserved vocal attacks produce candid and emotionally vivid snapshots of a disturbed American culture.
The CD "Blunt Society" was recorded during 3 recording sessions and was mixed down by Ryan Martino in Albuquerque, NM.
Most songs were recorded live in 1 to 2 takes which has resulted in a raw energy and an organic tightness that often includes spontaneous improvisation.
The result is a powerful 22 song CD that almost always surprises the listener with its barrage of phat riffs and wacked lyrics.
Who knows what you will find down the smokey alleys and twisted boulevards of this Blunt Society.

I got this cd after listening to the samples on the website. I started listening to it and I realize it sounded very familiar. This cd is the lost Murphy's Law cd. I really love it, it's hip-hop/skate punk.
