Album Notes

From Albuquerque, NM USA

Blunt Society has enjoyed a lengthy music-making career from their hometown of Albuquerque NM, much to the delight of local music connoisseurs. What began in 1996 as a punk rock project has evolved into a multi-faceted mix of reggae, punk rock of the early Southern California scene, early '70's Latin rock beats, with just the right amount of acid jazz and funk added in for an even more varied style. Airtight rhythms, complimentary harmonies, and with sometimes as many as nine musicians on stage. Blunt Society packs a punch unlike any other. The band has released 2 full-length CD's, and has been included on numerous compilation CD's and has shared the stage with acts such as Kottonmouth Kings, Suicidal Tendencies, Slightly Stoopid, Fuel and Kid Rock, among others.

The comings and goings of saxophonists and percussionists over the years has strengthened the musical relationship between the three founding band members. This occasional band reconstruction has helped teach the band to deal with change and new influences, which has created a talented and close-knit extended familia.

Blunt Society is known for it's commitment to excellence, which is why it has been said that "Once you go Blunt, you don't go back."
