Album Notes

BEHIND THE SONGS

“Dirty Tricks”
Yeah, you know the kind. The kind your classmates play, your teachers, your co-workers, your bosses, your friends, your family. They all play them don’t they? I’m so sick of it!

“Garage Tonight”
Oddly enough, this punk love song sprung from an arpeggio lesson at a time that my heart was lit on fire. And it was a Subaru in case anyone is wondering.

“Storm of Love”
Storm of love was written in a bathroom at 3AM following a tremendous electrical storm and an incredible night of…

“Debt Crisis (I Know)”
Debt Crisis, a song of the times. How did we get here? If I had a dime for every time I have heard someone in charge say that hey! I won’t cover all the blogisphere commentaries here, I’ll leave that to you. All I’ll say is something’s rotten and it aint in Denmark neither!

“Monty’s Boys”
Late 70’s and it was off to the grimy Bowery in Richie’s van. Age of the squeegee men, Jitterbug Jones and Lazy Holly - remember boys and girls? Never forget the first time I saw them. Amazing. This is my tribute to one of the bands that had the greatest influence on my writing style. Still out there Rope Burns?

“Rip Cord”
What can I say about Sam except that I have known her all her life. Rip Cord is a punk barn dance kind of song I wrote for her Sweet 16th. She’s still going strong as ever so look out!

“Talk Talk”
Talk Talk is a song about helping someone through a malicious disease. Could be cancer, could be COPD or any number of others. It’s not fun.

“Sunshine Lost”
Sunshine Lost is dedicated to the late Debbie Burgess “BURGE”, who I knew very well.

Rock on boys and girls,

Bobby
