Bobby James started his musical career on the small and beautiful island of St.Kitts, one of the islands in the Caribbean. He started his career off as a drummer and a percussionist for the group Ellie Matt and The GI Brass. This is where he established a feel for the Caribbean groove that is ever present in his musical aspirations today. Bobby moved to Canada in the 70’s and continued his passion for Reggae, Calypso, Soca and R & B with groups like Caraballo. He moved to Edmonton and started a band of his own called Code 7, which mixed the influences of Caribbean and rock n’ roll to create a unique style of music. Bobby has since moved on to an independent career and has released many independent albums. Bobby James relocated to Winnipeg after working with Code 7 and has mixed the Caribbean style music with a wide range of different styles of music such as: country, gospel, worship, and rock n’ roll. In January 2006, Bobby James released his first professional single under his independent label Just In Tyme Productions. His first single is called “Direction Of The World”, which is one of the songs on the two song single. “Direction Of The World” and “Problems Of The World” were songs Bobby had pulled from his archive because he believed that they would touch people’s hearts due to the uncertainty happening all over the world.
