Bobby Sweet was chosen in 2011 as a Kerrville New Folk finalist on two of the songs from this album. As well as seasoned songwriting, this album showcases his tasteful electric guitar playing. Stylistically, the songs are varied, ranging from Texas Swing to Folk, to Country to the Rolling Stones-like "Nobody's Valentine". The album also features the outstanding musicianship of Bobby's longtime bandmates, Pete Adams (pedal steel), Rick Leab (drums), Bruce Mandel (bass), and Abe Guthrie (keyboards). This album would appeal to listeners who's taste is singer-songwriters who reside somewhere between Folk, New Folk, Country, Americana, & Alt-Country, where the emphasis is on great songwriting, with production that doesn't get in the way.
Bobby has shared the bill with some of the top country and folk artists, including Vince Gill, Bill Staines, Bill Morrissey, Deana Carter, Bryan White, Arlo Guthrie, Pete Seeger, Jonathan Edwards, and Sawyer Brown. As a sought-after lead guitarist he has played shows opening for George Jones, Asleep at the Wheel, Willie Nelson, The Bellamy Brothers, Waylon Jennings, and many others. Bobby toured in 2008-2009 with Arlo Guthrie’s Lost World Tour, and again with Guthrie in 2010-2011 on his Journey On Tour.
