Album Notes

If your looking for something fresh and unique, some new and exciting music; here it is! This is an incredible collection of new, eclectic Rock and Roll, with other musical elements such as blues, jazz, folk, country and more! Early on, I decided to do my own thing regardless of what major record companies expected (over 500,000 paid downloads and album CD sales since 2001). This album is auto-biographical in the sense that it expresses much of my struggles and life experiences as a kid growing up (Midnight Avenue, In Your Darkest Hour) and the challenges of pursuing music against all odds (R+R Survivors). The song "All Through the Night" was the soundtrack to a "Rock and Roll Pirate Video" that was viewed by over 200 million households throughout Europe and America. This album is reminiscent of styles of music more or less of an era gone by I suppose, “but what an era”! World class musicians provided much inspiration and music on this album. Members of the Doobie Brothers (Chet McCracken-drums and the late Cornelius Bumpus-sax, as well as members of the Steely Dan, George Benson band, America, Michael Jackson band, Doug Deringer, Steffen Presley, Greg Stevens and others), performed with me on the album - and in my band as well. Although seemingly Rock in nature, the album has an eclectic side with progressive, county, blues and jazz influences as well. The blues classic, “Born Under a Bad Sign” was sung by Cornelius Bumpus and will surely be recognized as one of the greatest recordings of that song ever! Variety has always appealed to me and made me hard to sell and categorize as an artist, and so here we are. I am proud of the music and I hope you enjoy it as well.

Sincerely, Bob Fetherolf
