Bob Linsenmayer got his start as a professional entertainer in northern California in the late 1950s and early 1960s performing folksongs and humor in the same clubs and coffee houses where the Kingston Trio, the Smothers Brothers and Pat Paulson got their starts. When the folk music boom faded, Bob moved to Chicago and spent the next 30 years traveling the world on business and raising a family with his wife Sheryl. When he was home from his travels, he told stories and sang songs to his two children every night at bedtime. One day he performed for his daughter\'s pre-school class and from the enthusiastic response knew that working with children would be his next career. In 1996 Bob and Sheryl moved to South Carolina. Since then Bob has presented hundreds of storytelling/music performances at schools, libraries and festivals. Kids know him as \"Mr. Bob\". He has honed his storytelling skills by studying with master storytellers at Eastern Tennessee State University and at numerous workshops.
In his performances Bob uses guitar, jaw-harp, spoons, nose flute, washboard, drums, assorted other instruments, puppets and a large repertoire of songs and stories for children and adults. The CD “Good Morning Mr. Bob!” was recorded live at two elementary schools. Kids love to sing the songs and hear the stories on this CD. The selections are suitable for children from the ages of 5 to 12.

Mr. Bob does an outstanding job keeping the children's attention. My daughter re-tells his stories from listening to the CD so many times. He exemplifies what storytelling should be. It is good, clean entertainment and helps tremendously with listening skills and comprehension.
