Album Notes

Bob Mauldin has been playing his songs all over East Texas for nearly five years singing his style of Texas Country Rock to anybody who'll listen. Over the years, more and more people began to listen. Recently, like many other Texas Music singer/songwriters, he had discovered a scene where songwriters are welcomed with open arms and best of all, nobody minds if you get a little rowdy while your at it!

Bob was raised in Canton, Texas...home of the biggest flea market in the United States! He admits to never leaving Texas for more than a few days at a time. Bob got into radio when he turned 16 and worked his way up to Tyler, Texas. There he began to take his lifelong love for music and started to make something of it.

In 2001, Bob recorded his "Cowboy Super Hero" for Texas Rose Records. The song was well received overseas where Texas Music is very popular. Here in the Texas, Bob released the song to about 60 or so Texas Music stations.

Meanwhile, Bob had been compiling a CD of his early demos recorded in a tiny storage room between the two parking spots in his parent's car port. On these cuts, Bob played and sang all the parts and it actually sounded pretty good. So late in 2001, Bob released "One Man Band" on his own label and began selling it at shows. One song, "We're America" got a lot of attention at the live shows and drove CD sales. Encouraged by this, Bob began to write and record a follow-up CD.

Then a few things happened. Bob got distracted by a classic car hobby for a while, then to his family's dismay, his attention turned to (brace yourself) PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING! Luckily these things only took Bob away from music for a couple of years. In December of 2003, Bob finished recording the second CD. "My Life: One Man Band - Part Two" was released January 17th, 2004 at a show in his home town, Canton. You can get your copy of "My Life" and hear song samples at www.cdbaby.com/cd/bobmauldin.

Now, after deciding that the novelty of a "One Man Band" has wore off, Bob has worked out a deal with Sundown Records to record and release a new album with his new band...a REAL band...a REAL GOOD band! The band will be playing Bob's songs the way they were meant to sound. Get ready, because later in 2004, Bob Mauldin is busting out some new material that will blow away anyone who has heard Bob before. The album will be heralded in with a single which will hopefully be heard by anybody who is a fan of Texas Music on you local station. Keep you fingers crossed and check the "News" section of bobmauldin.com daily!
