Album Notes

Strictly Country Records is proud to present this wonderful album by one of today’s leading traditional bluegrass groups. The unique and distinctive sound of the Paisley’s is rooted in rock solid guitar rhythm of Bob and Dan Paisley, and their soulful lead and harmony vocals, and was once referred to in “Bluegrass Unlimited” as “bluegrass with the bark left on.”

The recordings on this album are dated from 1994, the year that Bob Paisley celebrated his 40th year as a performing bluegrass musician.

Outstanding contributions here are made by one of the best traditional fiddle players in bluegrass, John Glik. who was with the band only a short time. His melodic, bluesy style makes this album an outstanding one.

Bobby Lundy – the son of Ted Lundy, Bob Paisley’s long time partner in the early days – delivers solid banjo playing and sings some baritone vocals behind the Paisleys.

German multi-instrumentalist Hendrik Ahrend adds the double bass parts.
