ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Like beach mosaics of shell, stone, and smooth colored glass; I've used the different sound qualities of my nylon and steel string guitars to create this album of songs. Life provides us an infinite canvas which, though sometimes overlooked as "scattered" and "commonplace", is stunningly beautiful and cohesive. Even in it's grittiest of forms. One of my missions, as an artist, is to create and combine works that will mirror these contrasts, blends, and transitions.

Fine FINGERPICKING
The CD capture a great sense and feeling of a father and a family guy. What I loved most about it (beside the beautiful composition) is the story and inspirations behind each piece. The title of each track fits quite perfectly with melody..

The variety of the songs in this album was a nice addition. You can tell about Prince's experience in the deep acoustic, blues, jazz, and classic. The *songs* included in this album speaks out the world situation with a great sense of care..

Overall, this is a HIGHLY RECOMMENDED CD! Simply, a lovely blend of all colors to form a masterpiece.

Above The Surface
While this CD is titled "Above The Surface," it becomes evident from the very first track that this it is so much deeper than that. Prince has a command over his instrument that not only demonstrates his consummate technical skills, but, more importantly, that evokes a personal response from his listeners, one that sparkles with each intricate turn or bend of the guitar strings. This is not a "guitar gently weeping." Rather, Bob plays with decided precision and well-nouanced phrasing on each track, providing a spectrum of sound that fills space like melted butter. This CD is a gem--one finely cut and superbly rendered. Definitely a keeper!!!
